Reflection: What I think it means is to challenge yourself if you think your doing good right now you can be better. Also, when your doing great in class today you can be greater the next day.   

               Allopathic Physician (M.D.)

Duties and Responsibilities: Allopathic physicians specialize in cardiology, nephrology, oncology, or endocrinology. Also radiology or anesthesiology,. They treat any conditions in every part of the body. They do checkups to screen any developing medical conditions and to prevent illness.

Salary: 60,000- 178,000

Education: Bachelor’s degree, 4 more years in medical school, must pass state medical licensing exam before stating their residency and a second exam at the end of their residency to gain a certificate in their field of specialty. A 8 year residency is required to practice medicine independently.

  

Reflection: I would like to be one because of the pay rate. Also, because they help people's body to prevent illness.

What i think the quote means is your wealthy by what is in your heart as if in your nice to others and most rich people are cruel and only care about money and not others or themselves.

                   Allergist/ Immunologist

    Duties and Responsibilities:  Is a physician trained to diagnose, treat, and manage allergies, asthma, and immunology disorders. These conditions range from the very rare to the very common. From all ages and different organ systems.  

   Salary: 118,000- 184,000

   Education: Medical degree, physicians undergo, 3 years training in internal medicine or pediatrician, pass the exam of ABIAM or AMP, and additional nine years of training past the bachelors degree.

 Would you like to be one: Why? Why not? 

   I would want to be one because you let people be aware of what there allergic to and the pay rate.

                                    Acupuncture

Duties and Responsibilities:  Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific acupuncture along the skin of the body penetrating by thin needles, or the application of heat, laser light or pressure. They also use needle insertion, cupping therapy, and moxibustion. It aims for different conditions but it is most likely used to relief pain.

Salary: 75, 000- 80,000

Education: Undergraduate degree, associate degree, 1,500-2,000 hours of acupuncture training and take 3-4 years to complete. Graduates must pass the certification exam NCCAOM and any additional state requirement.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why or why not?

 I wouldn't want to become a acupuncture therapists because your risking someone’s life, for example, you can accidentally poke something else. Or you can even make the pain worse than it was.

What I think the quote means is you can never do something wrong and feel great about it. The reason I think he said that was because you’ll have guilty conscience. You cannot feel right about doing it.

Duties and responsibilities:   In treatment, physical pressure is put into acupuncture points wanting to clear blockages in these meridians. It can help with managing nausea and vomit, lower back pain, tension headaches, stomach aches, and among other things. Pressure can be applied by elbow, hand, or various devices.

Salary:81,000- 82,000

Education: You must study in anatomy, business, ethics, reflexology, shiatsu, aromatherapy, acupressure bodywork.

  

Reflection: Do you think you want to be one why or why not?

I would want to be an acupressure therapist because you can relieve people from pain faster than usual.

       Latchkey is a key to a door. What I think the quote is a metaphor explaining that education is the way into success in life.

                          Ophthalmologist

Duties and responsibilities:

                Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others perform research.

 Average salary: $90,000- 150,000

 Educational requirements:

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologists. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. after completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

 I would not like to be an ophthalmologist because I wouldn’t like the responsibility of working surgery on someone else’s eyes.
