Veterans Day
Veterans Day first originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919 the first anniversary at the end of World War 1. It became a holiday in 1938. In 1954 President Eisenhower changed the name from “Armistice Day” to Veterans Day. In 1971 they moved the holiday to the fourth Monday in October but in 1975 President Ford returned it to November 11 due to the important historical significance of the date. In Europe, Britain, and Commonwealth countries there’s a two minute silence at 11 am. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans living or dead but especially gives thanks living veterans who served our country honorable during war or peace time.

Reflection:

What I think about Veterans Day is it’s wonderful to pay tribute the veterans that served our country and fought for our freedom.

Reflection:

What I think the quote means is when you take a quiz or such you want to take the quiz honorably and fail rather than passing the quiz while cheating. Then you’d see what things you need to improve on and that’ll help you and also as a person.
