Acts Of Kindness

When Ethan gave the ball to the kid who was bummed out about not catching it. I think that it was a nice thing for him to do. When he gave it back after he got more than he would've if he didn't give the ball to the kid. Also, when the lady gave her food to the homeless man was a good thing because she made the man's day and it made her feel good.

What I think the quote means is in order to be great you have to be kind. Also that greatness comes from kindness.

Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day 

Thanksgiving is a day celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November it became an official holiday in 1863. During Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a 'Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father dwelleth in the Heavens' be celebrated on the last Thursday in November. The "First Thanksgiving" was celebrated by the Pilgrim after there harvest in the New World in 1621. The feast lasted 3 days and was attended by 90 Native Americans and 53 Pilgrims. The first documented Thanksgiving services where in the 16th century by the Spaniards

The US Tradition celebration consist of baked or roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet corn, other fall vegetables, and pumpkin pie. Most communities have annual food that collect non-perishable packaged and canned food, staple food and Thanksgiving dinners given 5 days after Thanksgiving on Giving Tuesday. But mostly a day to give thanks to God for a common purpose. 

 

Reflection:

 What im thankful for is my family, my health, my 2 nieces, for having opportunities others don't have, having my family all be well, a close relationship with my siblings and my mom, spending thanksgiving and Christmas with my whole family, for having people who care for me and understand me, having people there in time and need.

What I think the quote means in saying if it’s not right do not do it is as in if you know it’s not right for you to be doing something and you know it’s not you shouldn't be doing it. When he says if it’s not true do not say it is when you spread a rumor about something that is not true you shouldn't be saying it at all.

I would like to be one because I would like taking the dental radio graphs because I would like to help out people who had a toothache or some type of problem in their teeth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Dental Labor Technician is when we lose our teeth from an illness or accident and they need to maintain normal functions.

o   Apply to an accredited dental laboratory technology program

o   Receive their education and training though a two year program at a community college, vocational school, technical college, university, or dental school.

I would not like to be a Dental Lab Technician because it requires a lot of precision in making a mold look exactly like a tooth and making it match to a person’s mouth.

What it think the quote means is when you choose the right in the present then it would make a huge difference when you’re older because you would have a good outcome. If you choose the wrong then you won’t have a positive outcome you’d be somewhere miserable like jail

Veterans Day

Veterans Day first originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919 the first anniversary at the end of World War 1. It became a holiday in 1938. In 1954 President Eisenhower changed the name from “Armistice Day” to Veterans Day. In 1971 they moved the holiday to the fourth Monday in October but in 1975 President Ford returned it to November 11 due to the important historical significance of the date. In Europe, Britain, and Commonwealth countries there’s a two minute silence at 11 am. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans living or dead but especially gives thanks living veterans who served our country honorable during war or peace time.

What I think about Veterans Day is it’s wonderful to pay tribute the veterans that served our country and fought for our freedom.

What I think this proverb means is if you hang out with wise people those who make wise decisions than you will be wise and successful. But when you're amongst people who don't make good decisions than would be led to your own destruction.
